Mini-replica of planes and helicopters. May be fitted with wheels to roll forward and backward when pushed. Because these models are not remote controlled, they don’t have actual flying capabilities.

Mini-replica of train and/or train set. Fitted with wheels and rolls forward and backward when pushed. May include tracks and other accessories, such as trees, buildings, etc.

MOTOR SKILLS TOYS
Toys intended to develop motor skills of the user. Usually intended for small children.
3-D shapes (cubes, pyramids, cylinders, etc.) made to be stacked on one another to create various structures.
Board with educational content for young children (alphabet, shapes, etc.)
HAMMERING & POUNDING TOYS
Toys and games that include and encourage hammering or pounding on objects to make them move, bounce, or fall.
Toy consisting of blocks held together by strings or ribbons. Blocks fold onto each other and stack to create a small tower. When held only at one end, the blocks appear to cascade down the strings, creating an optical illusion.
SHAPE SORTING TOYS
Toy consisting of a larger container and several pieces of various shapes. Container has cut-outs of individual shapes that will only fit to a specific smaller piece (i.e. star-shaped cut-out only fits star-shaped piece; circular cut-out only fits circular piece, etc.)
Toy consisting of a stand with a long peg and several rings of various sizes. Can be organized onto peg by placing largest ring on the bottom, then repeatedly stacking next smallest ring above. This process eventually creates a conical shape.
Toys with various pieces connected to central string or thread. Children can move and stack pieces along thread to join to separate.
Mini-replicas of various objects, built to scale. Examples include ships, machines, manikins, etc.
A game, toy, or problem designed to test ingenuty (i.e. jigsaw puzzle) or knowledge (i.e. crossword puzzle).
Standard puzzle. May include a larger block with cut-out of larger puzzle outline, but individual pieces are not fitted with pegs.
A complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one's way; similar to a maze. May include a stylus to allow user to trace path of labyrinth.
Puzzles equipped with magnets so pieces will stay on board or attract each other.
Maze carved out of material other than wood. Often placed on moveable axles that allow user to tilt board and guide small marble throughout maze in an effort to solve it.
Peg puzzles usually consist of a board with a cut-out of a larger puzzle outline. Each piece of the puzzle is fitted with its own peg to make them easily moveable for children.
Books with a different puzzle on each page. These puzzles are different from jigsaw puzzles, consisting of games such as sudoku, crossword puzzles, etc.
Puzzles that are built upright, rather than lying on a flat surface. May be sold with an upright puzzle board to hold puzzle pieces steady while being built. May have added dimensions to create a form resembling an object (ball) or structure (bridge).
Play pins shaped like standard bowling pins. Typically intended for indoor use with accompanying bowling ball.
RIDE ON TOYS
Toys intended to be ridden on or pulled along. Equipped with wheels so user can roll around while riding.
PUSH PULL MOWERS
Toy designed to resemble a reel mower, with two rolling wheels and a connecting shaft and handle.
RIDE ON ANIMALS
Ride-on, self-propelled toy with four wheels, designed to resemble animals, such as horses, cows, unicorns, etc. These toys are moved by walking feet forward or backward.
RIDE ON BOATS
Ride-on toy with curved bottom that allows for rocking back and forth. Designed to look like a boat, but doesn’t float in water.
RIDE ON CARS
Ride-on, self-propelled toy with four wheels, designed to resemble a car. These toys are moved by walking feet forward or backward.
RIDE ON MOTORCYCLES
Ride-on, self-propelled toy with two wheels, designed to resemble a motorcycle. These toys are moved by walking feet forward or backward.
RIDE ON ROCKING ANIMALS
Ride-on toy with curved bottom that allows for rocking back and forth, as opposed to having four legs (like a chair) that would keep toy level. Designs include cows, sheep, dogs, etc.
RIDE ON TRACTORS
Ride-on, self-propelled toy with four wheels, designed to resemble a tractor. These toys are moved by walking feet forward or backward.
RIDE ON TRICYCLES & BICYCLES
Self-propelled toy with either two (bicycle) or three (tricycle) wheels. Rather than having pedals like a standard bi/tricycle, these toys are moved by walking feet forward or backward.
RAMPS & RUN SETS
Sets that allow user to roll items (balls, vehicles, etc.) along a track.
VEHICLE RAMP SETS
Small structure, typically with four descending levels that toy cars to travel down in a zig-zag pattern. Each level is slanted so that toy cars naturally roll down, but the angle of the slant is opposite at each level (if the first level is higher on the right, the second level would be higher on the left). This side-to-side path continues down each level until the toy car reaches the bottom, when it then rolls off the toy structure and onto the floor (or whatever surface the structure is on).
Structure fitted with a thin track, wide enough to fit a small glass marble. The run will typically include several features, including descending spirals, varying height levels, etc.
Mini-models of various animals, including dogs, giraffes, cows, etc.
Replica at-home arcade games, typically smaller than original versions, including skeeball, pinball, arcade basketball, etc.

Toys intended for decorative design and creation.
APRONS & SMOCKS
Layer of clothing placed over regular clothing to protect against stains or other damage from arts and crafts activities. Aprons cover only the chest and abdomen region, while smocks also have sleeves.
BEADING & JEWELRY MAKING
Products involved in beading and jewelry making include beads, cords, threads, clasps, findings, chains, engraving machines and tools, etc.
CLAY & DOUGH SUPPLIES
Moldable clay and dough products, made to be shaped into objects or models by children. Other supplies include rollers, cutters, stampers, dough scissors, etc.
Single package that includes all needed materials for themed crafting, including string art kits, firefly light craft kits, terrarium kits, etc.
Products for drawing activities, including colored pencils, markers, crayons, charcoal, lead pencils, mats, stencils, rock painting, coloring books, stickers, etc.

PIPE CLEANERS & POM POMS
Pipe cleaners consist of a few thin, bendable pieces of wire, wound around each other and covered with a thin layer of cotton, nylon or other soft materials that form an outer layer of short bristles. Pom poms are small, colorful, circular pieces of felt or other soft material, used in crafting, generally glued onto other objects.
SCRATCH PAPER & SHRINK PAPER
Scratch paper is black paper intended to be scratched (with a thin, pointed piece of wood or plastic) to reveal color beneath. The paper may appear to be all black, but with a simple scratch, the rainbow of colors is revealed underneath. Shrink paper is made of a thin type of plastic. It’s used in crafts for designs that can be made large and later shrunk to a fraction of the original size to create durable embellishments.

Includes stamps, ink pads, and sold in full sets.
Adhesive label, notice, or design, printed or illustrated. May be sold as a single sticker or in a pack that includes many stickers.
WIGGLE EYES & RAINBOW POPSICLE STICKS
Wiggle eyes are round plastic pieces with a flat back (easily glues onto other surfaces) and a transparent plastic front with a detached black circle inside that moves freely, resembling an eyeball. Rainbow popsicle sticks are multi-colored wooden sticks, the same used for popsicles, but intended for crafting.

Toys designed for children aged 3 years or younger.
BABY BATH TOYS
Toys for babies intended for use in the bathtub. Examples include squirts, floaters, water slides, etc.
RATTLES & PLUSH RINGS
Rattles are oblong, hollow toy, made of wood or plastic, filled with small beads that make a rattling sound when shaken. Plush rings are soft-sided, stuffed rings made to be stacked or otherwise played with.
Toys that babies can put in their mouth when new teeth are developing. Typically made of various types of soft, gel-like plastic.
Table or stand featuring several different games, toys, or activities for small children. May be elevated from ground on legs, or be placed directly on it.
Walking assistant for young children. Consists of a base on wheels and an attached seat with with holes for legs to go through and reach floor. Babies can rest on the seat and push forward with their legs to move the walker back and forth. Also features a tray to place toys or food.
Toys with four wheels, equipped with a string. Meant to be pulled along the floor, rolling as the baby walks forward. May resemble an animal (alligator, dog, duck, etc.) or an item (car, football helmet, telephone, etc.)

A figure with a disproportionately large head mounted on a spring so it bobs up and down, often made as a caricature of a famous person.

Climbing cubes are structures of geometric shapes with “nooks and crannies” that children can climb on and around. Climbing ramps are low grade ramps that rise from ground level to a bit higher off the ground. Children climb up, on, and around the ramp.
CRAWL THROUGH TUNNELS
Soft-sided tube-shaped structures with open ends on both sides, designed for children to crawl through.
Indoor tents resembling Native American shelters with canvas or fabric sides, triangular-shaped. Typically feature wooden support poles.
A-frame structure resembling a tent that includes climbing steps along each side wall and an open structure for playing under tent sides.

A spherical representation of the earth or of the constellations with a map on the surface. Typically placed on a stand with an axle running through the center of the globe to allow user to spin it around.

Play sets that resemble natural habitats for various plants and animals, including ants, sea horses, butterflies, caterpillars, worms, turtles, etc.
READING TOYS & GAMES
Toys and games that encourage building reading skills, including diaries, notebooks, magnetic letters and words, handwriting aids, and reading and writing games.
ROCK TUMBLERS & ACCESSORIES
Polishing tool for at-home rock beautification. Users add rocks to central container, then add “grit” material and water, then spin the tumbler container on its axis until rocks are polished.
SCIENCE KITS & TOYS
Toys and kits designed to build awareness and knowledge of basic science concepts, including biology, physics, etc.
An activity book is a type of book, generally aimed at children, which contains interactive content such as games, puzzles, quizzes, pictures to color and other elements that involve writing or drawing in the book itself. The book may have a loose narrative or contain other non-interactive elements structured around the interactive elements. Activity books may be made for entertainment, education or a mixture of both.
Books for children that include devices that play sound in accordance with the text of the book. Intended as educational materials for young children.

Springs are coiled wire or hard plastic that compress with force and expand outward when released. Spring toys are those that are springs themselves or incorporate springs into their model.
Toys designed for placement and use on desktop, either for distraction or focus, depending on user. Examples include magnetic balls, newton’s cradle, perpetual motion toys, etc.
Toys designed to direct fidgeting to a particular object, including spinners, squeezers, and bubblers.
Miniature plastic skateboard designed for use with fingers, rather than feet. User can move fingerboard around, roll it and perform tricks with it on any flat surface.
FORTUNE TELLING TOYS
Toys and games that result in a prediction of one’s future, including magic 8 balls, tarot cards, etc.
Toys meant to be jokes, including handshake zappers, whoopie cushions, etc.
Sets of items meant to be juggled, such as juggling pins, balls, rings, etc.
Container for coins and bills, designed for children as an at-home bank. Typically features a slot at the top for money insertion and a removable plug at the bottom for emptying. Comes in various designs, such as pigs, ATMs, castles, etc.

A magnet is a piece of iron that exhibits magnetic properties of attracting other iron-containing objects. Magnetic toys are those that contain magnets within them.
PRISMS & KALEIDOSCOPES
A prism is a glass or other transparent object with surfaced angled in a way that separates white light that passes through it into a spectrum of colors. A kaleidoscope is a toy consisting of a tube containing mirrors and pieces of colored glass or paper, whose reflections produce changing patterns that are visible through an eyehole when the tube is rotated.
SLIME & PUTTY TOYS
Slime and putty are soft, malleable pastes used as toys that come in various colors. Children can shape putty and slime as they play.
SPY & DETECTIVE TOYS
Toys useful for pretend spy activities, including lasers, night vision goggles, listening devices, binoculars, etc.
Toy consisting of an eyepiece and a rotating wheel that users place circular plates (featuring various small images) in. The small images aren’t visible to the naked eye, so viewfinder enlarges the images, which users can then rotate around to change the slides while looking through the eyepiece.
